Most of of our training is done one-on-one; with you/your family members, and your dog, in your own home. After an initial evaluation, we create a specialized training/behavior modification program for you and your dog, based on what you hope to achieve. We have several price levels and there are discounted multiple session packages available. Please call 412-766-7632 or email for exact pricing based on your needs. All paid sessions include phone and email help during our commitment and afterwards, for reasonable time frames. We also bring our own homemade all natural training treats to use at each session!

Train While You Work

We are also pleased to announce that we are now offering Train While You Work training for certain training/behavior needs. We can come to your home while you are at work or at school and spend a regular timed session, working on what you hope to accomplish. This is not for everyone and we do require a pre and a post training family session, but if you are just too busy to fit us in for a regular series of sessions, this may be an option for you. Call or email for more details.

Drop-in Classes

NEW! On Thursday evenings from 7-8 PM, we will have alternating weeks of basic and advanced classes. Basic dates are July 10th and 24th. Advanced dates are July 17th and 31st. We will announce August dates based on July's success. We will continue having one Sunday afternoon class per month, 2:30-3:30PM, which is basic or advanced depending on who shows up! All drop in classes are held at Larry's Laundromutt! Larry's is located on Ohio River Boulevard in Edgeworth, right next to Eat 'n Park. No aggressive or super reactive to other dogs permitted in class at this time. (We can help you with reactivity/aggression issues in a private lesson, please ask us.) We cover many things in the drop in classes, based on the needs of those attending. It is also appropriate if you just want to keep up with your dog's socialization.

Classes are conducted in a limited size area and restricted to 6 dogs and owners, so pre-registration is suggested to secure a spot for the Sunday class. For the Thursday class, since Larry's is closed at class time, we now require attendance confirmation by noon of the day of the class to either Larry's or here to us. Email us for more info or simply sign up here. You can call Jeanie at Larry's Laundromutt at 412-534-4052 to register or Debby at 412-766-7632. Walk ins are welcome on Sundays but because of the limited class size, those who confirm ahead of time are given spacial preferences. Bring tasty soft treats and prepare to have fun and to tire your dog out. See you there!

The cost for each session is class is $15.00. You can pay by check or cash in person, or to pay by PayPal, click the button below. Be sure to include your name in the comments section so that we can cross-reference your payment with your registration form, should you complete the form. The form is not necessary for the "drop in" class but is available for weekly classes.

New! 7 week Outdoor Adventure's Class!

This class will be conducted on the grassy area of the Centennial Pavillion in historic Riverview Park on Pittsburgh's North Side. For more information on Riverview Park, click here. Class size is limited to 6 dogs. First class is orientation and dogs stay at home for that one. We will cover basics, intermedite and even advanced, depending on the students plus trail and walking manners and more. This class is geared towards mastering the basics that your dog is great at, at home but proofing them for outdoor situations where he/often forgets his name in favor of a squirrel! Do you want to learn how to compete with wildlife, both animal and the city versions, when you are walking your dog? Well, we can help you regain your dog's interest! We will be using a clicker for some exercises so those will be provided. If all goes well, then the last couple of classes will include group trail walks. We cannot accept dog reactive/aggressive dogs in class but we can assist those in privates. Please call us for more info. If your dog just barks a little when seeing other dogs, that's fine.
